Cool City contest interest students

Teams of students from universities around the country, including one from Wayne State, are vying for a $25,000 prize for the best plan on how to revitalize an eight-acre downtown area in Jackson. The city's designation as a "Cool City" by Gov. Granholm provides priority access to state grants and loans that officials hope to use in revitalizing the west side of their downtown area.
