Workshop to explain new social work licensure legislation

 Detroit, MI —The Wayne State University School of Social Work Alumni Association will provide a free workshop open to the public on the new State of Michigan social work licensure legislation.The workshop is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2005, in the Undergraduate Library's Bernath Auditorium.

Workshop speakers will answer questions about the State of Michigan legislation that will require social workers and certified social workers to be licensed rather than registered, effective July 1, 2005.

Linda Burghardt of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) will be a workshop speaker. Questions or comments may be directed to Anwar Najor-Durack at (313) 577-4409 or ac1724@wayne.edu.
