Bragging rights?

This monthly magazine reported that WSU Professor Steven Stack received an Ig Nobel Prize for his widely-publicized study on the "Effect of Country Music on Suicide." Stack, a sociologist in the university's Criminal Justice Department, has publicized about 135 papers on suicide, including six dealing with various musical genres. He told the magazine that the Ig Nobel is "about research that seems funny, but at the same time makes you think."
