The study, which sparked some controversy in the medical field, showed that women who take the hormones oestrogen and progesterone after menopause may be less likely to develop cardiovascular disease. Oliver says the work should not be dismissed just yet. \"This was a preliminary study, and it needs to be looked at very carefully in considerably more detail.\"
