Sepsis ranks among deadly diseases in U.S.

The CDC recently ranked sepsis as the tenth leading killer in the U.S. "One in every three people who develop severe sepsis will die within a month," said Dr. Joseph Bander, chairman of the Surviving Sepsis Campaign in Michigan, vice president of medical affairs and intensivist at Harper University Hospital and a professor of Medicine at Wayne State.
