Detroit schools deficit offers lessons for future

Kurt Metzger, research director of the Center for Urban Studies in CULMA wrote an op-ed that said Detroit is the most visible example of 40 school districts in Michigan that have too many buildings and declining enrollment. It's worse in Detroit, since the city has been losing population since 1950, and officials put off the inevitable for a long time.
