"Corporate Citizenship and the Law" will be topic of public forum

"Corporate Citizenship and the Law" will be the topic of the fifth Driker Forum for Excellence in the Law sponsored by the Wayne State University Law School and the Center for the Study of Citizenship. The forum will be held Monday, Nov. 8, at the Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium at the WSU Law School, 471 W. Palmer St., Detroit. The event begins at 3 p.m. and will be followed by a reception.

Admission to the forum and reception is free of charge, and a reservation is required. Please call (313) 577-3933 by Nov. 1.

Speaking on corporate citizenship and the law from the corporate perspective will be Edward Goldman, associate vice president and deputy general counsel for the University of Michigan Health Care System; Thomas A. Gottschalk, executive vice president, law and public policy, general counsel, General Motors Corp.; and Thomas Katzenmeyer, senior vice president, investor, media and community relations, Limited Brands.

Addressing the topic from the government perspective will be Thomas B. Leary, commissioner, Federal Trade Commission. Roger C. Cramton, Robert S. Stevens professor emeritus at Cornell Law School, will comment from the academic perspective.

The moderator will be Eugene Driker of Barris, Sott, Denn, & Driker, PLLC, and member of the Wayne State University Board of Governors.

Parking is available in Structure #1, across from the Law School, at the corner of Cass Avenue and Palmer Street. Entry is $3.50.

The Driker Forum for Excellence in the Law was established in honor of Eugene Driker, distinguished graduate of the WSU Law School and a valued advisor to deans at the school.
