Mich. to emphasize higher ed

An article about the formation of the state\'s new Commission on Higher Education and Economic Growth mentions that members will hold a meeting at Wayne State on Oct. 18. Created by Gov. Jenifer Granholm, the commission hopes to attract high-tech jobs to Michigan by doubling the number of students in the state with college degrees. Michigan currently ranks 34th in the nation in the number of adults who have a bachelor\'s degree or higher.
