State colleges rank high in African-American grads

Four Michigan universities got high marks for the number of African-American students they graduated during the 2002-03 school year from four-year programs in a June ranking done by Black Issues in Higher Education. Out of more than 300 colleges and universities, Wayne State University ranked No. 47, Michigan State University ranked No. 31, University of Michigan No. 71 and Eastern Michigan University was No. 81.
