Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies moves to new quarters in Faculty Administration Bldg.

The recent move of the Cohn-Haddow Center for Judaic Studies from Manoogian Hall to bright and airy quarters at 2311 Faculty Administration Building has allowed it to realize a long-held dream: to create a Judaica Resource Center on the Wayne State campus that will serve as a major resource for Jewish studies. Unlike other libraries on campus, or in the Detroit Jewish community, the facility is stocked with the latest books, journals and interactive media in the field of Jewish Studies.

The Judaica Resource Center is open to students and faculty, as well as interested members of the community, to do research, to participate in seminars or simply to read and relax in this unique setting. Of particular significance, is the newly acquired Jewish Heritage Video Collection - a collection of nearly 200 films of Jewish interest. The collection was made possible through a generous donation by Mrs. Martha R. Loeffler, in memory of her husband, Dr. Erwin S. Loeffler, with matching grant funds from the Charles H. Revson Foundation.

The Jewish Resource Center is open during normal business hours, except Fridays, when it is open from 9:30 am. to 1 p.m. The facility will be closed on Jewish holidays.
