The ACCP will present the Miller award to Professor Rybak at its annual meeting in Dallas on Oct. 24th. The award consisting of a plaque and a honorarium will be presented as part of the opening general session at the upcoming annual meeting.
The ACCP award is named in honor of Russell Miller, who was founding editor of the ACCP's journal Pharmacotherapy. Miller was said to maintain very high literary standards and contributed to the development of clinical pharmacy and pharmacotherapy through his publishing. The award honors individuals who have made substantial contributions to the literature of clinical pharmacy, thereby advancing both clinical pharmacy practice and rational pharmacotherapy.
Professor Rybak, a resident of Troy, is a fellow of the ACCP and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
He received his doctorate of pharmacy at Wayne State University. He earned his bachelor's in pharmacy from Northeastern University in Boston. Professor Rybak is board certified as a pharmacotherapy specialist by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialists with added qualifications for Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy.
