WDET nominated for three Radio & Records 2004 Triple A Industry Achievement Awards including "Station of the Year"

Detroit Public Radio again recognized by Industry for Progressive Music Programming

July 1, 2004 - DETROIT - Radio industry leaders have again recognized WDET with three nominations for Radio and Records (R&R) 2004 Triple A Industry Achievement Awards. WDET has been nominated for "Triple A Station Of The Year - Noncommercial;" Judy Adams, WDET's Program Director who is celebrating 30 years with the station, was nominated for "Triple A Programmer Of The Year;" and Music Director Martin Bandyke has been nominated for "Triple A Music Director Of The Year."

"This is a special honor to be recognized by your industry peers," said Judy Adams, WDET Program Director. "These nominations validate our efforts to program WDET differently than other stations in our market, or in the entire country. Listeners in metropolitan Detroit have responded positively to our music variety programs, and WDET has gained a reputation nationally for being a leader in the Triple A format."
