Wayne State Fashion Design and Merchandising shows its style

May 15 fashion show features styles for people and their pets too! Event benefits the Michigan Humane Society.

DETROIT (May 5, 2004) - The Fashion Design and Merchandising Program at Wayne State University presents Downtown Style: A Fashion Show for City Life on Saturday, May 15 at 2:45 pm. Admission is free and those with an eye for fashion and a heart for a good cause can expect a full afternoon of style, sights and sounds. The innovative designs on display include various articles of clothing as well as pet accessories and clothing.

Those arriving at 2:00 pm will find a reception with complementary hors d' oeuvres and beverages, as well as musical entertainment by DJ Adam Francesconi and Mike Rafferty. Attendees have the opportunity to bid on prizes from Pat Scott Jewelers, Travel Exchange, The Wedding Shoppe and Petco. A portion of the event's proceeds benefit the Michigan Humane Society.

Downtown Style will take place on Gullen Mall at the center of the campus of Wayne State University, near the Student Center Building, with parking on Cass Avenue.
