Jeanne Lusher of Rochester Hills, distinguished professor of pediatrics and director of the hematology/oncology division of Children's Hospital of Michigan, has been elected president.
Arthur Marotti of Huntington Woods, professor of English, has been elected vice president and will rise to the presidency in the following year.
Each scholar has participated actively in the nomination process for new members and in ongoing initiatives of the academy. The new program for 2004-2005 will be announced early in the fall, according to Charles J. Stivale, current president of the WSU Academy of Scholars.
