DETROIT, MI (April 13, 2004) - The Wayne State University Electronic Music Ensemble will be performing new music interpretations and creations at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2004. The live performance will be held in the Schaver Music Recital Hall, located on campus at 480 W. Hancock in the Old Main Building. A live "web broadcast" of the concert will be available on April 22nd at WSU Department of Music Website. Admission to the performance is $3 for students and $5 for adults. The WSU Electronic Music Ensemble, comprised of students enrolled in the music technology program, is a credited ensemble at Wayne State. The students, under the direction of Thomas Court, create new works each semester. The Ensemble's April 22nd performance will also incorporate dance movement. Choreographer and dancer Megan Brunke will be performing on stage to the ensemble's electronic creations. In December 2003, the Ensemble collaborated with the WSU Maggie Allesee Department of Dance for the first time during their fall 2003 performance.
