Members of Wayne State University's Alumni Association and their guests are invited to attend another installment of the association's hit faculty lecture series titled "Knowledge Road Show," on Sunday, March 28, at the new Holocaust Memorial Center in Farmington Hills.
Wayne State University Professor of English, Anca Vlasopolos, will be the featured speaker discussing her book, No Return Address: A Memoir of Displacement, about her mother's stories of her experience in Auschwitz and three slave-labor camps, as well as a meditation on their influence on her life.
The new $17 million, 50,000-square-foot structure on Orchard Lake Rd. in Farmington Hills, replaced the 10,000-square-foot Holocaust Memorial Center in West Bloomfield Township. The new building allows organizers to tell a more complete picture of Jewish life before, during and after the Holocaust. A tour of the facility and a reception will follow the lecture.
Reservations are required. Cost is $15 for alumni association members and $20 for nonmembers. To reserve a seat, call (313) 577-2166.
