Wayne State University Board of Governors to meet

The Wayne State University Board of Governors will hold its next regular meeting Wednesday, December 3, in Wayne State University's Alumni House, 441 Ferry Mall, on campus.

The Board of Governors committees convene at 11 a.m. and are open to the public. The board's standing committee meetings begin with the Academic Affairs Committee at 11 a.m.; Student Affairs Committee at 11:30 a.m. and Budget and Finance Committee at noon. Following a break, the board returns for a public session again at 4 p.m.

Wayne State University's Board of Governors is one of three university governing bodies in Michigan (including the University of Michigan and Michigan State University) that has constitutional independence. Voters throughout Michigan elect its members, who serve eight-year terms.
