Detroit Orientation Institute offers fall session

The Detroit Orientation Institute (DOI), a program in the College of Urban, Labor & Metropolitan Affairs (CULMA) at Wayne State University, is accepting applications for the October 20, 21 and 22, 2003 session. There are still spaces available for the October session.

The DOI gives a historical perspective and candid look at Detroit and the metro region. The three-day session welcomes anyone wishing to learn about the city and metro area, especially newcomers. Business executives, professionals from nonprofit organizations, university faculty, high school administrators and faculty, government administrators and journalists typically attend.

Background materials, a CD-Rom, meals and transportation are all provided for a cost of $695. Registration is limited to 55 and programs are offered each year in spring and fall. The next program will not be offered until April 2004.
