The Wayne State University Board of Governors will hold its next regular meeting Wednesday, July 30, in Wayne State University's Alumni Lounge, Alumni House, 441 Ferry Mall, on campus.

A public hearing will be held at 11:30 a.m. in accordance with Michigan Public Act 120, to allow for comment on the organization of

the Wayne State University Department of Public Safety as a fully independent police department.

The Board of Governors committees convene at noon and are open to thepublic. The board's standing committee meetings begin with the Academic Affairs Committee at noon and Budget and Finance Committee at 12:15. Following a break, the board returns for a public session again at 4:00 p.m.
