Eugene Driker of Wayne State Board of Governors inducted into WSU chapter of Phi Beta Kappa

Eugene Driker (center), member of the Wayne State University Board of Governors and alumnus of the university, was accorded honorary membership in the Wayne State chapter of Phi Beta Kappa during recent induction ceremonies for new members held at the Adamany Undergraduate Library on the WSU campus. With him prior to the entry procession are WSU Distinguished Professor of Law Robert Sedler (left), who introduced Driker during the program; and Jerry Herron, chapter president-elect and director of the WSU Honors Program. Driker, who is with the law firm of Barris, Sott, Denn & Driker in Detroit, was admitted to honorary membership in the society in recognition for his many contributions to learning and to higher education. He earned undergraduate and law degrees from Wayne State and received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the university in 2001. Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest undergraduate honors organization.
