Wayne State's College of Urban Labor and Metropolitan Affairs together with the History department will present "Michigan in Perspective," the 45th annual conference on local history, on Thursday and Friday, April 11 and 12, at the McGregor Memorial Conference Center.
The conference covers everything from folklore to genealogy, with sessions on current research, archives, preservation and teaching Michigan history.
Professor Charles Hyde's recently published book from the Wayne State University Press, "Riding the Roller Coaster of Chrysler's History and the Lessons Learned," will be highlighted with other recent publications on Michigan's history.
The conference, which is open to the public for a fee of $12, is free to students. There is a charge for meals, and reservations must be made by Friday, April 4. For more information, call (313) 577-4003.
