SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN (March 27, 2003) -- Comcast is continuing its commitment to connect its Michigan customers to what's important in their lives by televising all four Regional Finals of the 2003 NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship Tournament. Comcast coverage includes Sunday action from Ann Arbor's Yost Ice Arena, which could, depending on the outcome of games on Saturday, include the University of Michigan and/or Wayne State University.
"We know that sports programming is important to our customers," said Kevin Gardner, Comcast's Midwest Division Vice President for Sales and Marketing. "Comcast customers will now get to see the best in college hockey without having to leave home."
Bruce Madej, Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations of the host school for the Midwest Regional, the University of Michigan, said, "The State of Michigan is a college hockey hotbed. To have all of the Regional Finals televised by Comcast is great for all hockey fans in our state."
Comcast coverage on Saturday March 29th includes:
5 p.m. - West Regional Final from Minneapolis
8 p.m. - Northeast Regional Final from Worcester, Massachusetts
Comcast coverage on Sunday March 30th includes:
Noon - East Regional Final from Providence, Rhode Island
3:30 p.m. - Midwest Regional Final from Ann Arbor
