Dr. Brogan, a member of Wayne State's clinical faculty in occupational and environmental health sciences, was granted the award by the American Industrial Hygiene Association, which honors outstanding women for "public and community service, social reform, technological innovation or advancements in the scientific approach to the recognition, evaluation and control of workplace hazards."
Recipients are recognized for long "dedication to scientific truth" and commitment to "positive change for worker health."
Brogan, a certified industrial hygienist, currently serves on the Michigan Occupational Hearing Loss Advisory Committee and as a member of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. She holds advanced degrees from WSU's Colleges of Education and Pharmacy and Health Sciences and an undergraduate degree from Marycrest College.
