DETROIT, MI Wayne State Department of Music will be holding their open auditions `for the 2003-2004 academic year for prospective music students. The auditions will be held on January 27-31, 2003 and February 24-28, 2003 and are open to all musicians interested in pursuing a music degree. The WSU Department of Music is part of the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts. The Department of Music has 16 full-time and over 70 adjunct faculty, which includes 22 members of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. The Department offers 13-degree concentrations and is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. The Department offers a Bachelor of Music degree in composition/theory, jazz studies, music education, music management, music technology, performance and a Bachelor of Arts in music. The Department offers a Master of Music in choral conducting, composition/theory, music education, performance and a Master of Arts in music history, as well as a Graduate Certificate in orchestral studies.
Wayne State University Department of Music is celebrating 84 years of artistic and academic excellence.
