President Irvin D. Reid will help Barnes & Noble Wayne State Bookstore launch story time Saturday, November 9, by reading Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. The reading will take place at 10 a.m. in the children's section of the bookstore. Don DiVirgilio, general manager of the bookstore, said he is working on plans to host future story time events at the store once a month.
Beth Jachimiaki, supervisor of the bookstore's trade department, said it welcomes any volunteers to read their favorite children's book. She said they are looking for folks from all walks of life that children will recognize, from firefighters and police officers to coaches, athletes and others.
