Bryan Terry has been appointed director of Wayne State University's Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. Terry comes to Wayne State from Montclair State University in New Jersey, where he was the director of Student Financial Aid from 1999 until recently taking his new post with Wayne State.
Terry, an innovative financial aid administrator, was among the first recognized experts to use ED Express and other financial aid computer software programs. He led the development of innovative financial aid policies at Montclair. He oversaw the distribution of student financial aid and ensured institutional compliance with state and federal financial aid requirements. Terry also chaired the enrollment management team.
Terry has a total of 10 years of financial aid experience at the community college level and with four-year private and public institutions. Prior to Montclair, Terry served as assistant director of financial aid at Illinois State University from 1996 to 1999. He also served as financial aid director at Fontbonne College in St. Louis from 1994 to 1996.
Terry holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Illinois, a master's degree in business administration from Fontbonne College and a doctorate from Illinois State University.
