July 15, 2002 - The Wayne State University College of - Nursing is pleased to announce the Second Annual LifeLine Awards Dinner will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 20 at The Dearborn Inn in Dearborn, Mich.
Honorees this year are Gail Warden, President and CEO of Henry Ford Health System and Dick Purtan, WOMC-FM radio personality for their work in promoting the health and well being of our community.
"We are honored to recognize the work of two men whose contributions to our community are innumerable," says Barbara K. Redman, PhD, RN, FAAN, dean of the Wayne State University College of Nursing.
The LifeLine Award was established by the College in 2001 to recognize individuals for their contributions to improving health care. Proceeds from the event support scholarships and faculty endowments at the College of Nursing.
