Wayne State University's Detroit Orientation Institute offers October program

The Detroit Orientation Institute (DOI), a program in the College of Urban, Labor & Metropolitan Affairs (CULMA) at Wayne State University, is accepting applications for the October 21, 22 & 23, 2002 session. For more information go to www.culma.wayne.edu/doi.

The program gives a historical perspective and candid look at Detroit and the metro region. The three-day session welcomes anyone wishing to learn about the city and metro area, especially newcomers. Business executives, professionals from nonprofit organizations, university faculty, government administrators and journalists typically attend.

Background materials, a CD-Rom, meals and transportation are all provided at a cost of $695. Registration is limited to 55 participants and programs are offered each year in the spring and fall. The next program will not be offered until April 2003.
