With the semester coming to a close, students will be packing the Wayne State University Libraries to get in as much study time as possible before finals. In response to this need, David Adamany Undergraduate Library will be holding the Finals Frenzy Studython by staying open 24 hours April 23 through April 28.
"The 24 hour Studython is a service that we like to provide to the students during finals because it's a time when they really need the libraries. Many students like to study here in groups on the second floor or alone on the quiet-study third floor. It's especially beneficial for students who live in the area around WSU," said Diane Sybeldon, WSU Librarian.
The entire Undergraduate Library will be open 24 hours Tuesday, April23 through Thursday, April 25 as well as Sunday April 28. On Friday and Saturday, the library will close at 9 p.m. but the extended study center will stay open 24 hours. Librarians will be on staff for the overnights in addition to access desk, computer support, and security staff. Java Too! Café will be open until midnight during the week and until 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
To further accommodate students, Parking Structure 5, on Anthony Wayne Drive at Kirby, will extend its hours by allowing all night parking until 6 a.m. April 23 through 28. However, vehicles must be out of the structure by 6a.m. to avoid being ticketed. The structure reopens at 7 a.m.
