Five women graduates of Wayne State University who have made headlines during the past year for their career accomplishments will be honored at the annual Headliner Awards Luncheon at noon Saturday, April 13, at the Western Golf and Country Club in Redford. The event is sponsored by the Women of Wayne Alumni Association.

In addition, the Service Award, given to a Women of Wayne member who has demonstrated significant service to the organization and the university, will be presented to Shirley Perkins McClain (Education 1989) of Shelby Township. The award is the highest honor given by the Women of Wayne to a volunteer. McClain has served on the board of directors for 10 years and is a former president.
