January 28, 2002 - Detroit, MI - On June 18, 2002, Dr. David Rosenberg, of Wayne State University and alumni of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, will be the Key Note Speaker at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinics Annual Research Forum at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, PA. Dr. Rosenberg will be discussing new developments in assessment and treatment of childhood onset neuropsychiatric disorders.
As a General and Child Psychiatry, resident, NIH post-doctoral fellow and then Assistant Professor at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, Dr. Rosenberg began to set forth his interest in the neuropsychopharmacology of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Today, Dr. Rosenberg is Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at WSU and holder of the Miriam L. Hamburger Endowed Chair for Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatric Research at Children's Hospital of Michigan and WSU. Dr. Rosenberg's research focus is on pediatric OCD and depression. He has several NIH and foundation grants in these areas. He has also initiated studies of other child and adolescent disorders, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Major Depression (MDD), and Eating disorders.
