Noted author and activist Tim Miller will be the keynote speaker and performer for Wayne State University's 8th Annual Conference on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues Friday, Oct. 26. The topic of this year's conference, which is being sponsored by the Office of Community Affairs, is Activism in Art.
Miller's appearance highlights the daylong conference of workshops, presentations and performances, which will focus on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender perspectives on the arts.

"Through speaker presentations and workshops, this event provides significant information to the campus community and the surrounding community at large about key issues of interest and concern to the LGBT community. This is the 8th year that Wayne State University has sponsored this conference. We are pleased to be part of this annual event."
An internationally acclaimed performance artist, author and activist, Miller will speak and perform on the topic, "Our Culture, Our Identity, Our performance!" Miller's keynote performance begins at 1:30 p.m. and will be in the McGregor Memorial Conference Center on WSU's campus.
The daylong conference begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs throughout the day. Scheduled events include:

Over the years, the Annual Conference on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues has developed into one of Michigan's largest events for the LGBT community.
