In May, the University established a procurement card program aimed at simplifying the process to order small dollar items. Each credit card, "Pro Card", is tied directly to a specific University account and is assigned to a specific individual. To test the program, 50 volunteers from across the campus have been involved in a Pilot Program to monitor the use of the card, the account transactions, and the policies and procedures in place to conduct the program
The Pilot Program was a success and we now open the opportunity for all interested, qualified employees to be included in the Program. The Pilot Team reports ease and convenience in utilizing this new procurement tool and we encourage you to get the necessary approval to sign up for a card as soon as possible.
Beginning September 26, training sessions will be offered 2-3 times each week. For your convenience, training sessions will be offered in both AA Band in Scott Hall. This training is mandatory for you to obtain your WSU Procurement Card for business purchases. Check the Purchasing web site www.wayne.edu/wsupurch/ to download an application for a card, then please contact Staff Training577-2111 to register for a train
