Detroit Festival of the Arts seeks volunteers
The Detroit Festival of the Arts seeks students, employees and others as volunteers to help out during the event on Wayne's campus.
The annual Festival, which draws thousands of visitors to the WSU campus and the University Cultural Center, will be held Friday to Sunday, Sept.14-16. Admission is free. Many of the streets through campus will be closed or partially closed for the Festival, including Cass, Kirby, Putnam, John R, Farnsworth and Frederick Douglas.

Some of the main Festival attractions are the Juried Artists Market, 12 stages for entertainment, the Saigon Water Puppet Theatre, Shakespeare-in-the-Park, and much more.
Wayne State will sponsor booths for games, giveaways, free blood pressure screening, stress reduction exercises, a WSU Press book sale and live broadcasts on WDET_FM - 101.9.
There will be fencing and cheerleading demonstrations, a "Talking Walls" exhibit, a special exhibit at the Jacob Gallery and a Fun Run/Fitness Walk.
Hours of the Festival are 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
