The Wayne State University Board of Governors will hold its next regular meeting Wednesday, May 9, in Alumni House on campus.

The board meeting will begin earlier than the previously scheduled time to accommodate schedules. The Budget and Finance committee of the board will meet at 11 a.m., followed at 11:30 a.m. by the regular meeting. Both sessions will be in Alumni House on campus.

The constitutional independence of the boards protects the members from political interference. Selection by the voters in statewide elections assures that the universities remain responsible to the public at large.
