WSU Resident selected for NIMH workshop

DETROIT, MICHIGAN - February 5, 2001 - Dr. Ravi Singareddy, a resident in the Psychiatry and Internal Medicine Double Board Program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences at Wayne State University, was selected to participate in the 2001 National Institute of Mental Health Intramural Research Grantwriting Workshop. The award includes a four-day workshop at the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland followed by a ten-week individual tutorial.

Dr. Singareddy's research interests include symptom and biological comparisons between sleep panic attacks and other parasomnias. In particular, Dr. Singareddy is interested in studying whether those with nocturnal panic attacks have an increased sensitivity to CO2 inhalation.
