Wayne State University presents an exhibition by art alumni from Friday, July 7, to Friday, Aug. 11, in the Community Arts Gallery.
The "Alumni Exhibition: Lori Christmastree, Lise Melhorn-Boe and Azucena Nava-Moreno" opens with a 4 - 7 p.m. reception Friday, July 7, in the gallery. The free event is open to the public.
This is the first of an annual summer series sponsored by the WSU Department of Art and Art History to celebrate the works of the many talented Wayne State art alumni. Each succeeding summer the gallery will host an exhibition that will display the works of three or four invited alumni.
This year's exhibition will include sculpture, installation, photography, fibers and drawing. The artists return to the university from a variety of locations. Christmastree is from Maine, Melhorn-Boe from Ontario and Nava-Moreno from Detroit.
