A free presentation on women's health issues will be held from noon to 1 p.m. and again from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, in the Community Room on the third floor of the Undergraduate Library.
The discussion will cover health-related issues and care with regards to age, ethnicity and socioeconomic status. Also, in light of the growing number of consumer health resources available over the Internet, presenters will address website credibility and share some reliable Internet resources. Literature will be available and exhibits will include proper breast exam demonstrations and free blood pressure checks. Participants are encouraged to ask questions.
The brown bag lunch seminar is open to the entire university community. Refreshments will be provided. The event is sponsored by the health sciences committee of the President's Commission on the Status of Women.
