Sandra N. Gumma of Farmington Hills receives honor from Wayne State during commencement ceremonies

Graduating Wayne State University senior Sandra Gumma (left) of Farmington Hills received the university's prestigious David D. Henry Award during winter commencement ceremonies held at Cobo Arena in December. The award goes to one female and one male student who have demonstrated outstanding scholastic achievement, leadership and service during their years at WSU. Presenting the award to Gumma on behalf of the university was Chin Kuo (right), dean of the College of Engineering. Gumma earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
