The Wayne State University Alumni Association will award full and part-time tuition scholarships for the 2000-01 academic year to Wayne State students who, through voluntary participation in campus activities, have helped promote a positive image of the university. Applications are available in the Alumni Relations office, Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, Student Center and Program Activities office and in academic department offices. The deadline to apply is March 3, 2000.
The David Adamany - WSU Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship was named in honor of David Adamany, eighth president of Wayne State. In recognition of his outstanding leadership and legacy, the WSU Alumni Association established the scholarship endowment with a gift of $1 million to the university. In the endowment's first two years, 34 scholarships totaling more than $110,000 have been awarded.
To qualify for consideration, applicants must be Michigan residents, have demonstrated outstanding leadership and involvement in the life of the university, maintain a current grade point average of 2.75, and have attained sophomore status.
