T. Norris Hitchman and Vivilore Heavner Hitchman of Dearborn join Wayne State University President Irvin D. Reid at the podium during WSU's winter commencement ceremonies Dec. 16 in Cobo Arena. The Hitchmans were honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the WSU Alumni Association during the program. The husband and wife, both WSU graduates, have given more than $4 million to the university over the years through scholarship funds and other contributions.
