First Lady Michelle Engler will be the keynote speaker at a Thursday, Nov. 4, lecture at Wayne State University.
"At the Millennium: The Future of Volunteerism" is the final presentation in a five-year series funded by the DeRoy Foundation.
A free continental breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. and the lecture begins at 9 a.m. in the Community Arts Auditorium, 450 Reuther Mall. A panel discussion about creative initiatives to expand and strengthen volunteerism in our communities will conclude the event. The discussion will be moderated by Carmen Harlan of WDIV-TV Channel 4.

The program is administered by the WSU colleges of Urban, Labor and Metropolitan Affairs and Lifelong Learning.
