Wayne State University President Irvin D. Reid will greet alumni and legislators at a special reception at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, in the Gold Room of the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C.
This annual event is being hosted for the Michigan congressional delegation and Wayne State alumni in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore area. It is co-sponsored by the Wayne State Division of Governmental and Community Affairs and the Division of Development and Alumni Affairs.
"This is an opportunity for President Reid to thank the legislators and our alumni for their support and to inform them about the newest developments and initiatives at Wayne State," says Faye A. Nelson, vice president for governmental and community affairs. "Wayne State is in the midst of some exciting developments and President Reid is anxious to share this information with those who have supported our efforts."
