Carol Mack of Southfield has been named director of community affairs at Wayne State University.

In her new position Mack will split her time between building relationships in the business, cultural, education and medical communities and developing a strategic approach to community affairs to facilitate campus wide efforts already under way.

Mack previously served as director of admissions for the University of Michigan-Dearborn. She is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and a native of Dayton, Ohio.
