Workshops to support increased parental involvement in Detroit Public School Clusters will be the focus of a parent academy from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, at the University of Detroit-Mercy, 8200 Outer Drive, Detroit.
"What's Up for Summer Learning?" is co-sponsored by the Technical Support Consortium (TSC) in the College of Education at Wayne State University in cooperation with Detroit Public Schools.
Participants will learn more about reading, mathematics, science, writing, study habits, field trips and raising smarter children.
