Students who resolve conflicts peacefully will be rewarded during the fourth annual Peace Week, March 22-26, at the University Public School, the middle school directed by Wayne State University.
Special activities for the week include a selection of two Peace Makers from each grade level of the student body and a Peace Message contest.
The Conflict Resolution Subcommittee sponsors Peace Week events. Committee members include Roxanne Clover, counselor; Anne Marszalek, pediatric nurse practitioner and nursing faculty; Karen Saunders, social studies teacher; and Janice King, social worker.
Yearlong activities for conflict resolution offer a Peer Mediation program and weekly Peace Awards.
