Wayne State students now can pick up applications for the David Adamany WSU Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship.
The Alumni Association will award scholarships for the 1999 - 2000 academic year to Wayne State students who, through voluntary participation in university activities, have helped promote a positive image of the university.
Applications are available in the Alumni Relations office, Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, and the Student Center and Program Activities office. April 1, 1999, is the deadline to apply.
The scholarship honors David Adamany, eighth president of Wayne State University. In recognition of his outstanding leadership the Alumni Association established the scholarship endowment with a gift of $1 million to the university.
The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and involvement with the university. To qualify, applicants must have a current grade-point average of 2.75; sophomore status; and Michigan residency.
For more details about the scholarship, call Chris Cahill at (313) 577-2168.
