WSU registration affected by bad weather

The registration period for Wayne State students has been extended through Friday, Jan. 15, because of the recent run of bad weather. Students will be able to register for the normal $35 late fee through that date.

"We recognize the extreme inconvenience the weather has caused for people this week," says Wendy Hamilton, university registrar. "They shouldn't have to pay extra to register because of the snow.

"We also recognize the value of time and money to our students. Therefore, students will not be charged the additional fee that would normally apply."

Classes began Monday, Jan. 11. From Jan. 18-22, students will be charged $70 to register.

Students who want to inquire about admissions for the winter term may contact the University Admissions Office at (313) 577-3577. Students who already have been admitted may contact Registration and Scheduling at(313) 577-3541.
