Professor Christopher F. Edley Jr. of Harvard Law School will be the guest speaker at the 16th annual Robert L. Millender Sr. Memorial Lecture at a luncheon beginning at noon, Friday, Nov. 13, in the Student Center Ballroom.
Edley is the author of Not All Black and White: Affirmative Action, Race and American Values. The book is based on his experience as special counsel to President Bill Clinton. Edley directed the White House review of affirmative action and is a senior advisor to Clinton for the race initiative and consultant to the president's advisory board on racial reconciliation. He is the founding co-director of The Civil Rights Project.
