WSU German students win 10 Faulhaber scholarship awards

The Department of German and Slavic Studies at Wayne State University has announced the recipients of the Uwe K. Faulhaber Endowed Undergraduate Scholarship for 1998-99.

In recognition of their academic achievement 10 undergraduate students who are majoring or minoring in German were awarded $10,700 in scholarships.

They are:

Kristine Bradow and Janice Hawley of Livonia
Michael Day of Berkley
Kimberley Dorozenko of Utica
Marie Klopfenstein and Amy Long of Rochester Hills
Megan Morrill of Royal Oak
Cynthia Pitman of Taylor
Suzanne Root of Orchard Lake
Craig Wehler of St. Clair Shores

The Uwe K. Faulhaber Endowed Scholarship was endowed by Ann Kirk Warren and the Faulhaber family in honor of the late Professor Uwe K. Faulhaber, associate professor of German at Wayne State University.

Professor Faulhaber was well known for his excellence in teaching and dedication.
